The SISAL association is present in two provinces in Madagascar (Antananarivo and Toliary) and is working on four projects supported by two offices employing 26 persons.
The objective of the AIDS IST/HIV project of SISAL is to promote health through fight against AIDS/IST/HIV among vulnerable populations and particularly among those most exposed to AIDS/HIV (sexual workers, homosexuals, youngsters, long-distance drivers, etc.).
Then, SISAL contributes to maintain low HIV prevalence rate and to decrease IST prevalence rate.
The SISAL main strategy for the period of 2006-2010 can be defined as follows:

• Strengthening the organizational capacity and basic performance of SISAL in its whole (National and Regional Offices) and supporting the emergence of beneficiaries organizations, which are engaged in the fight against this epidemic,
• Consolidating continuous AIDS/IST/HIV care and prevention on the exposed groups at the two medico-social centers of  Anatihazo (Antananarivo) and Tsimenatse (Tuléar),
• Improving access to IST care medical services for prostituted and youngsters,  intensifying screening and education campaigns at the high risks areas (touristic places, night clubs, hotels, …)
• Implementing a HIV rapid test screening laboratory in Antananarivo and Toliary (CTV) and a PLWHA hosting centre also in Tuléar, networking with the one which is  already in function in the capital
• Stimulating and developing partnerships with the civil society (in network), collaborating more efficiently with the existing structures, including our activities in mass events, plaidoying for the HIV care by private medical centers.
• Seeking for the increase of our auto financing quote part through revenue generating activities.
