Care, consultation and psychosocial monitoring of the seropositive persons. The center is open 5 days a week and is hosting all the PLWHA living in Antananarivo or visiting temporarily the capital.
This centre allows the PLWHA to rest, be informed, trained, communicate and share ideas with other seropositive or non seropositive persons within a pleasant and non medical environment for a minimum of 30 PLWHA.
Listening and psychosocial support services, which are regularly practiced by at least 30 PLWHA or their close persons (parents, friends….) are permanently offered in the center.
The PLWHA can use a confidential room for meeting and exchanging ideas with the persons living with the HIV. This is an opportunity that may encourage any individual or collective initiatives, such as creating a network of associations of Malagasy PLWHA.
Any PLWHA current medical problems, which do not need hospitalization, may be also treated at place. A lodging room is put at the disposal of the PLWHA passing by the capital for a medical reason. The Sambonaina life centre is financed by Solidarité Sida.
For the center in Tuléar : SISAL orients its patients to the referent doctor in the Tuléar CHD (hospital), which is in liaison with the hosting Center "Sambon'Aina 2" that SISAL foresees to open in Tuléar in 2007.
At least, in order to contribute to the medical monitoring care of the patients under ARV, the 2 doctors of the Tsimenatse health centers will benefit from training in Sidenology.
